The downside is, 35T AIT is about a year long. in Electronics Technology from Cochise College. changes sometimes, but when I went through you could get the A.A.S.

35T would be better than 35N because you'll learn sysadmin type stuff and things that would better translate to civilian cybersecurity jobs, imho.
35N VS 35F MOS SERIES
Keeping TS/SCI is no small thing because there's a good chance they'd downgrade you to Secret with the 25 series even if you submit the paperwork to keep the TS, because S2 loses track of paperwork in the Guard/Reserves and you don't need that TS as a 25 series. You get Sec+ in the schoolhouse (and they also offered Net+ but from what I've heard they may have dropped that) so that you're 8750 compliant. So 35T is pretty awesome, and there are a good amount of 35T's who have gone 17C. Should I go for Networking position (25N) so that if I do not get accepted into 17C, then I have at least a Network position that I can work towards? Or should I be getting into SigInt since it's similar to 17C (used to have 17C job function as well from my understanding and will help me keep TS/SCI) or go into 35T, which will help me keep TS/SCI and pretty much get an AA in Electrical Engineering? I have the score to get into any of these and have a TS/SCI (until October of this year). I am seriously split between these three positions. Until that happens, I wanted to get into an MOS that will either help me get into 17C or help me get a better position in civilian side (currently working as Help Desk). I would love to get into 17C, but according to the retention NCO's, I would need to join the reserve side and be accepted through by turning in the packet. I am currently going to school for Cybersecurity and Forensics BAS (second Bachelors) and eventually move into Cybersecurity career. I was playing with the idea of joining the Reserve since I am currently in IRR. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards.
